I have a similar problem, but since I bought my car through a broker, who finally provided me with a TDMA phone instead of a CDMA phone, I have no leverage, however all 7000 series BMW phones are out of production, so keep asking, I could not buy one even for cash. The dealer will most probably be forced up upgrade you to the 8000 series base unit (when it becomes available) just to meet your obligation to provide you with a phone.



My dealer still owes me the phone for my Z8 which is a 11/00 production unit. It is absolutely rediculous for me to get the 7000 phone, which my car is wired for, because it is an antiquated chunk of junk. Will the 8000 work? Is the retro kit expensive. My dealer is having trouble answering these questions.
