works for me. It is installed behind the grill in the front and under the fuel tank in the rear. I had the diodes placed in the comparment that houses the onboard monitor.
Some people swear by the V1, but for me until Mr. Valentine produces a true stealth detector, the K-40 will have to do.
I have the k-40 in my five series and in Four years of serious driving, I have had no tickets. \
The warning on the k-40 works best on the highway.There are a few more interferences in the city. But I decided that the stealth installation was worth the trade-off, since I don't go that fast in the city anyway.

I'm planning a long trip across the state and wanted to pick up a very good radar detector. Can you please let me know what you feel is the best out there?
