I read Autoweek and I did not notice the those comments. However, the steering is very accurate though perhaps not as direct as the Ferrari or Porsche. As far as mid-corner corrections I have not noticed any required for aggressive street driving. On the track it might be a different story. Please remember this car is a high-powered luxury roadster and was not designed for track racing. The ride is far more supple than the other two and as result certain trade-offs in steering and handling are made. There is no question the Modena has a more nervous race-car feel. The Turbo
not nearly as much and feels heavier. The Z8 is a different kind of car which may not appeal to everyone. Magazine reviews can only go so far in expressing the feel of a particular car.
Jason- would love to hear your opinion. I read in autoweek that the z8 is disappointing because it lacks steering accuracy; that its diff. to accurately carve a turn in the car. The reviewers thought that numerous mid-corner corrections are required. Any thoughts? The more I drive it the more I like it. If you are on the fence about buying the Z8 I strongly recommend you drive one soon. If you are looking for a truly exciting sportscar that is luxurious, comfortable, handles great and is fast the Z8 has it all. In the last year I have owned the Ferrari 360 and a Porsche Turbo. While the Z8 does not handle quite as well at the limit, it has both of those cars beat in almost every other area. The Modena is very exciting to drive.... for short periods of time. The Porsche has a rather plain jane interior, has a lot of torque but a very firm hard riding suspension. In my opinion, car for at MSRP. the Z8 is a better value.
