Im with Harvey. I think my settings are as follows:

bass: 1 notch from the lowest setting
trebble: the highest setting
balance: 1 notch over to the passenger side
fade: 1 notch to the front

also I found out that the cd has settings that are independant of those for the radio- so if you only listen to talk radio you could bring the trebble down on the radio preset.
