I asked him if it's for someone local (as it's probably the only Z8 they've gotten). He said it was, but the guy backed out and forfeited his deposit.

He said they'll sell it for $12,000 over list and it will be gone this week for that price.

I suppose they're going after the customer who wants to drive one home !now!. As far as the deposit goes, I'm fairly certain that there's a law requiring that those be refunded. That they are claiming the ex-buyer forfeited a deposit would raise some question in my mind as to the scrupples of this dealer.
