As far as the deposit goes, I'm fairly certain that there's a law requiring that those be refunded. That they are claiming the ex-buyer forfeited a deposit would raise some question in my mind as to the scruples of this dealer.


I know that if I gave a deposit and then, when the car arrived, said "No thanks, I don't want it now," I'd expect to forfeit that deposit. That's what happened here.
