The same thing is happening with the M3's & M3 Cabrios. BMW has increased the allocation of the cars, to bring the world markets into balance. That along damand slowing with the cooling economy has brought the market to MSRP. Guys (& Gals) that have been waiting for over a year sometimes find that the planned buy is a strain, so they pass.

If you are getting the car at MSRP, take it and have fun.

Tell me why my dealer just called me and offered my a Z8! I've been on the waiting list for 18 months and was number 11! Are the 8s being upped by the 9s? is there something more I should know? Or is it just the bubble-bursted economy?
