I'm not a Z8 owner I'm an 850 owner, but had to comment. Red Line is used a lot buy the drag racing guys and I've heard everything from don't use it, to it's the best in the west, I used it in my Turbo charged motorcycle for a while but got scared when I was told that it brakes down the oil rather then support it, so I switched over to Royal Purple and have never looked back, they make everything from gear and traansmission lube to crank oil, that's my 2¢ worth, hope it help's.

Anyone have experience using Red Line products in their Z8? I'll stick with the factory oil/gearbox lube brand until the service agreement runs out, but would then consider switching over to Red Line (unless any of you have had bad experience with it in the M5/Z8 engine/transmission). Thanks.


Thanks for the input, the last thing I want to do is risk that M5 engine.
