Tick noise behind dashboard (archive)

I am interested to know if any of you have found the source of a metallic ticking noise that seems to be coming from the dashboard. My car has this as does another Z8 serviced at my dealer, so I assume a few others have it as well. Its a pretty loud and obvious tick that occurs while the car flexes end to end over larger bumps and undulations in the road. It has a high pitched metallic note to it. Anyone else have this?
