Can't wait to try this out tonight. I gotta say it all seems too simple, life is almost never this "easy", but I sure hope you have nailed my ticking problem Andy. Thank you very much for the effort and the excellent photos.

tick behind dash

The ticking noise behind the dashboard is being caused by the paint
on four bolts under the hood.


Take a look at the following two pictures, and note the two bolts
indicated by the arrows.

There is a matching set on the other side of the car.

Giving these a light coat with a silicone based grease will take care
of the problem.
