There is a service advisory out on the cell phone for battery drainage due to a defective compensator. I had mine in for service and had the dealer fix it about 3 weeks ago and have not had a problem since. It was happening about every 3 days prior to the fix. I recently let it sit for 10 days while traveling without a problem. Had to have a dead battery replaced by BMW Roadside Assistance. I drive the car frequently and when I went to start it in the morning it was completely dead. The tech thought perhaps a telephone part called a "compensator" could remain on after the engine is off draw current even if the telephone itself was not in the vehicle. Sounds strange to me. But want to get to the cause of the battery drain. Any ideas???
