My Z8 only went through roughly a quarter of a quart in the first 2000 Km (about 1200 Miles). Your quart every 700 sounds high. Should be the same as the M5 I think.

How much oil are your cars burning? My M5 would burn a quart every 2500 miles or so and has leveled off after 10K. But my Z8 burns a quart about ever 700 miles. Is this normal?
